If you are a frequent user of social media you are most definitely on one or all of the mentioned social media platforms. Facebook Inc, the mother company of Instagram and WhatsApp is working hard to ensure its users get the best experience from their platforms by providing some updates that will take effect sometime later. Facebook has now scrapped off the message that prompted its users when they joined your list. Facebook will now use artificial intelligence to see which users hate the alerts. This will be made possible through machine learning.
Instagram, on the other hand, is planning to offer its users the chance to get verified on Twitter. For those not familiar with this, it is the blue tick that you see on major brand accounts on social media and major celebrity's accounts. Twitter also has been cleaning its house by getting rid of fake accounts on their platform. This has caused an uproar in some areas of the world like Kenya where major trendsetters lost most of their followers including the President of Kenya.
Whats App is also a company owned by Facebook and is planning to roll out a new feature that will allow users to identify forwarded messages. This effort was launched in a bid to try and control fake news which has become a menace on Facebook and the internet at large.
Facebook Messenger is also receiving an update that will automatically allow you to chat with people using a foreign language with the conversations instantly translated for you to ease communication between two people who do not speak the same language.
