This call to order comes as Raila Odinga is said to be the most influential and powerful leader in the whole world during a CNN interview. Its general and healthy practice to encourage an individual to stick to their limits. This mostly applies to the disgraced Kenyan president Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto. The two join the list of politicians in Africa including Mugabe and Museveni who have fought hard and wide to undermine democracy. A lot comes to mind when lane is discussed, the two leaders who survived an ICC trial due to noncompliance and not cooperating with the prosecutor Fatou Bensouda, should hopefully find their way to the criminal court after being ousted from power.

In an interview earlier with CNN, the deputy president failed to address the issue of vote turn out and manipulation of results. The interview was termed by the media house as not up to standard, an apology was issued and the video pulled down from their official YouTube channel. Raila Odinga in the headlines was said to arguably be the most powerful leader in the world. Raising the standards of living of Kenyans and politics is what this man Odinga does best. Seemingly after other unruly Kenyans soil our good name.
Uhuru Kenyatta is one mistake that should not have come the Kenyan people’s way. His father Mzee Jomo Kenyatta, our founding father is remembered for extra judicial killings, creating a land problem that only gets worse in Kenya with each passing day. His son leaves behind a legacy of death and oppression accompanied by a strong urge to sweep historical injustices under the carpet. Stealing an election and attempting to do it again.
Deputy presidential hopeful Ruto on the other hand leaves a legacy of chaos, extra judicial killings and an outright sense of entitlement which makes him a poor conversationalist hence his dictatorship tendencies. If a leader is a mirror that reflects his people and an apple does not fall far from the tree are anything to go by, its true to say that their people might also have such characteristics. After fifty years of living together, Kenyans should know better.
Raila Odinga however will be remembered as the father of devolution and true democracy in Kenya, characterized by the rule of the people by the people for the people. His father before him, Jaramogi Odinga will be remembered for putting Kenyans and Kenya first when given a choice by the colonialists to rule this country. History will never forget the work done by any individual in nation building. People have a tendency of doing what comes natural to them. As displayed by both Uhuru and Ruto, their path, their way of thinking and hard wiring all lead to the wrong places. Mungiki’s should stick to what they do best which is stealing and creating chaos to land grabbing. Cattle rustlers should stick to their trade in order to avoid cholera in 5-star hotels in Kenya and disgracing the country at any opportunity. People who are known to make and mold a nation into its greatest form should also do what they do best.
Hopefully, we look forward to the future. Where we will be mature enough to talk the truth, and laugh this out as one of the darkest times for our country and leadership. This is now officially the second regime after Moi that is hell bent on taking democracy to the slaughter.
